According to the Federal Statistical Office, in May 2024 the German producer price indices for commercial products such as panel presses, circular saws and cutting tools showed various trends compared to the previous month. In detail, the indices developed as follows:

Hand grinding and hand planing machines: 114,3 points ( -0,09% )

Presses for producing chipboard or fiberboard: 120,5 points ( 0,00% )

Circular saw machines for processing wood, cork, bone, etc.: 118,7 points ( 0,59% )

Milling and moulding machines e.g. Working with wood etc.: 118,4 points ( 0,00% )

Splitting, chopping, peeling machines e.g. Working with wood: 116,8 points ( 0,00% )

Cutting tools: 115,5 points ( 0,17% )
