| Optimistic outlook on 2008 for HOMAG Group AG |
| 21/01/2008 - 21:52 |
The favourable order situation gathered further momentum for the HOMAG Group AG into the fourth quarter of 2007. Incoming orders for the SDAX listed world leader in the manufacture of machines and plants for the woodworking industry rose steadily between October and December 2007 compared to an already exceptional final quarter in 2006 by a further 12 per cent to total 141 million Euro (previous year 127 million Euro), giving the HOMAG Group an unmistakable edge over the sector as a whole for the last three months of 2007. This places the company 19 per cent ahead taken over 2007, resulting in what Management Board Spokesman Dr. Joachim Brenk has described as "the highest volume of incoming orders in the company’s history” at 747 million Euro (previous year 626 million Euro).
The outlook for the current month of January also promises "incoming orders in excess of projected targets”, emphasizes Brenk. "This leads us to assume that the upward trend and the positive development of the HOMAG Group are set to continue into the current financial year."
